Find it written in everyday places? Is that your best idea? Really?

Let's not even pick at the fact that it's not compelling enough, visually, for your average consumers eye to spend time figuring it out.

I guess your heart was in the right place?

i like it actually. perhaps it's more for people living in nyc area. there's been so much talk and talk about building it, but nothing ever gets started. it's to the point where most people are like, "building the f'ing thing already." and anything 9/11 related, such as a height clearance, address number, is just another nagging reminder of what's not yet begun.

Even if these "9-1-1" signs actually exist, I wouldn't believe it. They're so mundane, I'd assume the 9-1-1 was photoshopped in. The only way an ad like this works is if you're playing on a sign/landmark/etc. that people already recognize.

Bush should fu&%$ing pay for it, afterall he caused it.

Sick of 9-11, alot more innocent Iraqis have died since then, we dont see ads to raise money for their families do we?

sorry i know this is an ad website but this is also a political subject

I hesitantly agree. Hesitant only because I'm wary of the angry american retaliation that you know is coming.

Innocent People from all over the world were killed in the WTC attacks. Remembering those people
is more important than some AD school geek's disgruntled opinion. Good Job.

I think it's strange that 9/11 is such a taboo topic, when people have been killed in terrorist acts for 50 years prior to that date. I agree, we should remember them, but let's put things into perspective.

bush caused 9-11? i'm certainly no fan of his, but i'm not sure i agree with, nor really follow your logic.

the ad isn't about bush, or iraq. it's about the memorial where good people, some of whom i knew, died. and they have yet to erect so much as a cornerstone on the site, and it's almost 6 years on.

in the meantime, i think you could use a world history course.

Bush caused 9-11 in two ways, you pick the one you prefer?
1. Bushs bias politics in the Middle East caused an organizations (Al Qaeda) to get so pissy that they planned this.
2. He let it happen , turned a blind eye so he can get into Afghan and then Iraq(who had nothing to do with Al Qaeda).

sburns4, where have you been mate? Too busy being brainwashed by your own ads?

9-11 happened 6 years ago! 3400 people died, Let it go, do you know how many Iraqis and Afghans have died since then?
180,000 people just in Iraq!!

Everybody in Iraq has lost someone too.

Get over it and move on. A building in the Middle East falls, theres a new one a year later. You guys are still farting around with ground zero so people dont forget, build something else and move on.

i'm with you in wanting to move on. i live 3 blocks from the wtc and want it all done with yesterday.

as far as your version of the causes for 9/11 - i appreciate the anger about iraq. i'm with you. we're stuck, for 616 more days, with the worst president in the history of the us. but your reasons are conspiratorial at best. Why 9-11? the u.s. and your fair britain - and toss in a bit of russia - have made been making a mess of the middle east for decades. britain slaughtered 1000's of muslims dismantling and dividing up the ottoman empire willy-nilly fomented no small amount of hate for the west. the u.s. followed up on the stupidity plopping down airbases (since abandoned) in saudi arabia, home to mecca. that, and our continuing and necessary support of israel and the fact al queda are blood lusty mad man who hate the west (let's not forget july 7th, atocha, etc, etc.) and are trying to co-opt a religion is why it happened.

Bush is a tool. Iraq is a disaster of historical proportions. But this ad, and my original point has nothing to do with either. it has everything to do with my backyard. mate.

sburns4, i agree with you a 100%. We the British are the worst when it comes to colonising, dividing, causing wars. Im with you on this and very ashamed about our history, even our present. Thats not what its all about though. Our July 7th disaster happened 2 years ago but believe me it hardly gets mentioned these days, we have forgotten, maybe because of ther IRA we are sort of used to it but we still put it behind us. Also i understand the deaths toll wasnt as high but we moved on long time ago.

Ok seriously though, back to the ad. I still dont like it ;)

Take care sburns4 and say hi to my favourite city.

london's not your fav? tsk tsk. i love the place actually. go chelsea.

perhaps it's combo of ira and the blitz that england has moved on. then again, it seems part and parcel to the culture. unfazed in times of crisis.

there's a new book out now that's causing some stir over there, from what i've heard... evil empire. 101 ways britian ruined the world. quite funny. not sure how much i agree with everything said, but it's funny. written by the pres of an ad agency in philly of all people.

and yeah, maybe the ad is a bit weak.

Bush got paid. His bosses from Israel are the ones who need to pay for what's happened. 9/11 - the defining moment of the 21st century. God knows how long they had been planning it. But what's worse is that it's been 10 years and still people can't seem to figure out that it was done by the people who have hijacked the US Govt! No WMDs, all oil, Osama thrown in Sea, did he even exist? Wake up citizens of Uncle Sam - they are in your base killing your doodz

I've got two interpretations of what these ads show:

1. The memorial is just as important as one of this signs and you don't notice it either.

2. When you look closely, 9-11 is everywhere among us. But how does this lead to a memorial?

i'm opting for the later. and you're right, it could be a more reverential or poignant.
