This has to be a first for the Western Church... Only in Hinduisim or in Sufism do you come across something like this where a spliff takes you closer to God..Nice

No idea...no particular target...and clearly the art is ripped off from the movie 'Pineapple Express'...they even call it a "cross joint" in the movie

People who are not interested in spirituality/church etc. will not be intersted in any advertising coming from such an institution.
From that point of view it is a good move not to actually obviously sign an ad as a "church" or whatsoever. they invite to a discussion...
(here on aotw you see what client it was made for but in real world not)
on the other side, I wonder whether people who actually have a certain affinity to spiritual matters would be attracted by such a visual.
i'm not saying yes or no. i just don't know. It's also not as if I had a better solution. it's not an easy one here. bit of a strategic dilemma.
if you are too "churchy" u can forget to interest "new people" for your cause. If you are too "unchurchy" people say the church goes crazy.

needs a lot of thought.

but one thing is clear: BAD ROLLING

so if its advertising for a church, why dont they roll the ganja into bible papers?!

Have to comment on the terrible rolling as well. Anyone who smokes pot religiously would be ashamed of these spliffs. Second, this has nothing to do with Pineapple Express. These two joints aren't even connected. They are two separate spliffs laying on each other. Third, the cross joint or windmill ting was around long before Pineapple Express. And last, the person who rolled these abortion doobs would clearly be completely unable to roll a real cross joint.

Scam ad made to make some news for the people who did it. Idea: 0 Creativity: 0

I would think that any church would want to go out of its way to NOT point out that religion is a drug that can get you hooked. Normally it is the anti-religious types who point out it is the opiate of the masses.

Me, I prefer pot. It is cheaper, less min-rotting and you don't have to hang out with religious nuts.

first off, there are stupid questions! i say this because i am a human writing this and have bias and am judgemental. so yes, in the case that there are, what they pertain to is of importance as well. in this case, does it matter? for the sake of spirituality by that i mean awareness, we will pose another question. if the question is stupid can the answers we obtain from that ignorance be wise? well, them being of themselves sure. but in realtion to a stupid question not so much. reason for that being, and using this case as my example, asking questions with terms that are undefined, or shall we say open to interpretation by the audience, leaves any answer given slave to its own subjectivity in ones own opinion of such terms. this case the term, of course, being "spiritual high" is undefined on any level making ambiguosity the flavor of the day and from my experience that means one thing, someone is scared. next time use words that mean something and you might do something worth our while.

For some reason I like this visual ad, it's thoughtfull. Christians lifestyle today enjoy living in God as using mariyuana than concern about understanding the truth.
