I guess one thing that can make more people buyers of the product is to talk about all the different sauces they can make.

But it's a pretty big deal to convert people who are not sauce-makers into sauce-makers.

I don't think cartoon-style illustration would help much.

Wouldn't you need to really get across concepts like delicious / fresh -- I think you need photography for that.

Maybe also the creativity and adventure of making your own sauces.

But even with that approach, the question of 'why this brand?' hasn't been answered.
