the line should be "shaving brush-less" here...
there is no way you could shave with that mixer. the joke is pushed a bit too far in this one.
Have you tried it?
I think it's the question of Would rather than Have, but I'm glad you asked.
It seems a bit of a strange service to me. If I found my razor was blunt in the morning, I doubt I'd be able to have one delivered before I left for work. Or maybe it's an online, Direct Debit, weekly razor delivery service, so the razors are always there with your morning post.
Either way, the advert doesn't communicate this, or tell me where to go to find out more information. As it stands, it's simply another 'There are easier ways to...' style advert that equates the customer to a moron.
First off, why is the art like that? Is this supposed to be some old dug up photograph of how people used to shave (But I must be wrong,I assumed the mixer was a pretty recent invention.)?
Perhaps, because they couldn't go out to buy a razor those days? Perhaps if they had the home delivery service.
Maybe the service used to be there but they didn't know which number to call because of ads like these?
Yup, there are some, if not many, flaws to this idea. But the thing is - it just makes you (me, at least) love the brand no matter what.
Love the visual. Love the "nevermore," as an E.A Poe fan, so the gothic imagery helps with that (I imagine "nevermore" is supposed to conjure that imagery- the dark, dismal, dreary occassion of being razorless). However, unless you're a literature fan, you wouldn't make this association, and more importantly, I feel the execution is somewhat disconnected with the strategy. Razors to be delivered? Queeesssstionable. I checked the Wilkonson Steel website.. and it's not a razor company. It's a steel company. So, if you called in and placed an order, the giddiness of having a fresh pack of razors delivered (a week later) would quickly dissipate once you saw the 30lbs of stainless steel type 304 sitting on your doorstep.
Therefore, you have appealed to my artistic side, but, for me, the ad is misleading. Still, cool, beautiful.
Scam
Interesting, creatively speaking
Doing great work is hard, criticize others is way easier.
