I love these. Good concept, but lovely art direction.

wasn't sure what was going on here, but i looked up the company.
if you know the brand and know that they make razors, not swords, these ads are pretty cool. i've seen the idea somewhere and probably multiple times, but they work.
and the photography is fantastic!
horrible horrible horrible. this concept - and I use the word loosely - is so overdone. " How will you use Product X to reflect your inner style. Gimme a break...

I don't know, I think you might be misinterpreting the concept. I read it that the razor is so precise it's possible to shave these intricate designs. I think matching the shave to the shirt was just to add visual interest; the idea didn't hinge on facial hair that reflects someone's personal style.
But I could be wrong.
i dont believe it matters that the razors really can do this (& im sure they didnt shave with the brands razors b4 the shoot).
i guess the idea here is that now its just easier to style ur bread evry time u shave, to the point that u can match it with ur clothes. in other words its easy as wearing socks.
sorry but seems that you dont know a program called photoshop dont you?
the ad is NOT about reflecting someone's inner style...it is obviously showing that the razor is very precise, hence the copy
i think this ad is cute and well done..the concept is excellent, simple, and the execution/photography is awesome
what, exactly, is 'horrible' ?
people need to stop shi**ing all over others work for no particularly good reason
so for all you obnoxious 'authorities' out there, at least comment on
(a) why it's bad and (b) what is a better execution or (c) what you would have done differently
At first glance I thought it was a campaign for a clothing line.
The photography is commendable.
The concept is lacking do to misdirection.
bloody disgusting ad!
And this campaign won Cannes.... yeah right.
Disgusting? How?
I agree with "Guest (not verified) Sat, 2006-07-08 04:38" that this ad is telling us that the razor is so precise/sharp it's possible to shave with intricate designs matching the shirt.
