Good but easily passed over. This is a great example of someone pushing a creative idea that is not likely to be worth their clients bang for the buck.
not bad..
* it's not how good you are. it's how good you want it to be *
that is so damn predictable, lazy thinking from the creatives
very disturbing
boooring!

Zzzzzzzzz
very disturbing because there is a cat's pix on the packaging..
these little details matter..
This suxs!
"Bowww Wowww"
Boring and simply not imaginative. This idea has been done a thousand times over, and it's not interesting any more. They could at /least/ use some decent typography, even though they apparently wanted to "keep it simple"...
Two thumbs down.
I think the client would want thier product to be bigger. Maybe lose a few fish & crop in tighter which will allow the idea to work a little quicker.
the first thing that came to my mind was that they use everything that gets into their fishing nets and can't be sold as normal food fish (and that's probably how it is).
but what's the point?
is there any of the shown fish in the whiskas pack?
is whiskas supposed to be as fresh as it was just another fish?
there's a copywriter mentioned, how about a short line then?
I'M NOT SAYING THAT THIS AD IS GOOD. BUT SOME OF THE WORLD'S MOST AWARDED CAMPAIGNS ARE BRAINCHILD OF COPYWRITER OR COPY BASED CD. WHEN A COPYWRITER WORK ON A PIECE OF WORK, IT'S NOT NECESSARY NEED TO HAVE A COPY/ HEADLINE....IN FACT, IT CAN BE JUST VISUAL DRIVEN!
"Bowww Wowww"
you're right, i didn't want to say that every ad with a copywriter involved needs a copy/headline.
but i think this ad could use a short line since this is definitely NOT one of the world's best campaigns with a strong and meaningful visual.
as i said, i don't really get what they're trying to say.
oh, and you might not have noticed but it seems you accidentally pressed your caps lock key.
Not bad... like student work. and why need 2 Art Directors?
A/D 1 to A/D 2...
"Damn, it's 10pm and we still dont have a campaign idea for the morning. Bugger this, lets grab a bite to eat at the food hall. Maybe we'll think of something."
:-D
== Bring back fags, lard and the biff.
WAY too self indulgent! I'm sure the client will be first to agree
