It's lovely of VW to celebrate the 60s, when hippies adopted the Beetle and the Transporter and basically "made" VW in North America, but they could have been a little more grateful when it came to portraying that generation in their TV spot for the Routan. And where is the Transporter today when we need it? As more and more Americans are forced to live in their cars (those that still have one), they could be living compactly but mobile in a proper van. Maybe it's not too late to retool...
