Fast as a bullet?. Kinda forced.
cynic
Agreed, Mon.
Kinda stupid message/positioning, too.
That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

Speed kills. No way. Thumbs down.
So, Europe drives on the right.
Australia's on the left.
South Africa is down the middle.

Shoot anyone that gets in the way of your beautiful new car.
Anyone.
Nuns, kids, those annoying ferral window-washer dudes -the whole damn lot of 'em.
Great, simple idea. Love it!
I like it, and I love the style too.

illustration is good..
Illustration good!?! Come on. Everybody in the bizz can spot the Live Trace miles away. Especially the one with the mountains

Does that make it bad?

Well using Live trace is not a disaster, I use it too. But to say its well illustrated is not true. The computer made it for you. Where's the glory in producing an illustration yourselve then?

Good point.

this is an ad, illustration is the way to make it, only because a certain style of 'making' an illustration was used doesn't make the ad bad, or even an illustration look cheaper.

I already said this Ad is bad because of the message it brings. "Driving Kills". As for the Illustration, indeed Illustrating is a way to go. But I want to see an illustration in that case. Letting Illustrator Live trace an image on his own, for me that is just letting the computer doing the work for you. Plain lazy. This isn't a style. It's a program. This could be done by hand, and I always prefer things where effort was put in. That makes an ad glow just that little bit more. To me, this ad isn't shining.

Doesn't matter what tools you use, it's the end product that counts.
Right on.
Looks like Minimum has a chip on his shoulder. Or a demon in the closet.

No, just appreciate it when a person puts extra effort in an Illustration. I illustrate, and when I do. I love to go in deep, not just picking the easy way.

That's cool, I agree.
I like the art direction much. This is a different, simple approach to promote a car, esp. gti.
