...and let the poets cry themselves to sleep. And all their tearfull words would turn back into steam

elementary thinking on the logo for a brand that can afford more creativity.

Totally agree.

not quite elementary

simplicity speaks more directly than frills

its harder to think of a simple idea than a complicated one that not everyone will understand.

Nice one!

ooops........! smart 'N' sexy.............

It can be far better than this. I can't really have the feel the car by looking at the logo. But...really feel good about it on how these guys pull it off with this idea. I will put it as good TEAMwork? It got to be good teamwork and great public relations.Good work guys!

This isn't VW anymore, maybe ten years ago.

GREAT IDEA.LOVE IT

Yup, i'm deffinately going to buy the new beetle cabriolet after seeing this ... not.
For me the idea is too basic, even a bit "oldish" and says nothing at all about the car (ok, except that is has no roof).

I like the simplicity of this as a creative idea, but will the majority of consumers get it?

first thought…overdone

Crayon's picture

i think this one is great. Simply great

the only idea I see here is cutting de "roof" of the volkswagen`s logo to make an analogy with the cabriolet. it`s too basic.
when advertisers ends doing something with the brand`s logo it`s because there`s a dangerous lack of ideas.

Es verdad, se quedaron en la primera idea. Además, sirve para hablar de cualquier modelo Cabriolet de la marca VW. Hace falta personalidad Beetle.

"Aquí también se opina en español y em português".

for award purposes...who doesn't know a cabriolet is topless...what else does it says that I don't know...ain't buying the car beause of this ad...but it'll be cool if the logo on the actual car is done like that...

Deamasiado fácil. To easy. No se ve que hayan seguido pensando despues de esta idea.
Además no creo que ningún logo se deba alterar de ninguna manera.

o no, o no, es un chispazo, i dont like it

NOT GOOD!

I like the new beetle cabriolet:=)

If you have ever dabble your hands to work on a VW account before, you'll bet that this ad is a scam ad (or layout ad, whatever you called it); that hasn't been published before and will never be accepted by client. VW global corporate doesn't allow any mucking around with their logo, whatsoever.

So, I guess this ad remains in the dream....in this case, Blue dream.

"Bowww Wowww"

smart&simple.
very nice.

VW ads always amuse me.

Not this one, sorry.

Awards Arouse Anything

As a teacher taught me in school, KISS!

Keep It Simply Stupid, or... Keep It Stupidly Simple.

I like it.

good idea, i like it.

do things new,do new things

it seem like an ipod 10% off's campaign, but i like it

Oh...any another...it still can be far far better...think harder...hint...hint....

Oh...any another...it still can be far far better...think harder...hint...hint....

Very VW idea. But it's not enough.
Time for a change from the expected logo play?

>>>> That's not an ad. THIS is an ad.

its not really ok to play with logos...
dont get me wrong this ad gives u an 'oooh cool' feeling coz u figured it out and yes u r happy
but after about 1minute that goes away-it needs something-maybe a pic of the beetle underneath or somethin ;p

"Niño, traeme una caña que ya he terminado la pieza!!"
