Kinda cool. Simple. Not really a benefit per se of buying an audio book.

smart copy. decent concept.

why read when you can be read to?

solid idea but little breadth or depth to extend further throughout other iterations or components...

Instant communications. It is not very involving or emotional, but it is instant, clear and intelligent.

Hmmm... how about extending this by doing this in an ambient environment? At say bus stops, where you actually can plug in and hear a sample of the books? Just a thought.

Nice anyway.

It's cool. Suggest try to add an earphone some place to be more effective since the plug-ins and the concept comes to your mind after going for the second and third look.Anyway whatever it is , is excellent!

I like this idea

GMD10's picture 142 pencils

The idea is superb. Execution not so much.

I see 2 people on a park bench or commuting in a train. One is intensely reading a popular book. The other plugged his headphone on his neighbors reading and enjoys the easy listening with closed eyes.

GMD10, thats a crap idea! dont give up your day job, hope its not advertising

And somehow this comment makes you a genius?? LOL

Typical guest behavior. Hit and run anonymous.

FYI

Not all ideas need to be Cannes material to communicate. Many agency bills are paid by making average messages. Get your grip on reality.

clearly done.........

Did anyone notice that the audio sockets are A/V, not headphone sockets. Disturbing mistake, but still very smart concept.

is everyone serious??
This is the first time i actually think that the headline should be huge because i can bet you that hundreds of people will miss the plug and actually miss the whole ad.
If i saw a bunch of books with a Virgin logo i would instantly flick through thinking theyre advertising their books. You have to look really hard to notice the plugs and the headline.
Bad artdirection i think.

Somehow I'm agree with you, dude. I didn't notice the plug at first, and I just wonder why everyone giving applause to this ad. I almost missed a great ad like this if i didn't take my time to look at it again and again.

You only need one book in a clean coffee table layout, sort your art director out, nothing special.

First of all the earphone sockets look like A/V sockets as one of the guests mentioned

Second of all The copy is not pronounced enough.

Thirdly of all with Virgin's WIDE range of products at first I just thought they are launching a bookshop.

This is what happens when the brand doesnt have a clear product focus. Or rather when the brand takes all the limelight and has no idea what is its actually product is anymore.

And finally, way to encourage the new reading generation! Lazy much?
