i did'nt get it.
it's a pig.... MADE WITH VEGETARIAN FOOD. aka not a pig.
O.K. presentation. I like the attempt, however it is out of balance.
-Even after the explanation, I still don’t understand.
-How does the consumer know this art is all vegetables--What IS the main part of the body?-Is that purple cabbage or does this pig have on body armor?
-Are those pealed potatoes?-Sorry I can't tell.
-When did vegetables become just VEGETARIAN FOOD?
It is healthy for ALL people to eat vegetables. I love vegetables. I also love meat. This assumes a great deal. and I think we all know what happens when we ASS.U.ME!.
Oh Boy! Now I really need some of “The Other White Meat”. Maybe some Ribs or Juicy Pork Roast! mmmmm!
Pretty looking ads, but I'm getting sick of the "food laid out to look like something else" concept. Archive magazine has about 3 of these campaigns every issue.
The fact is, there is nothing new under the sun. Only how we synthesis ideas. Trompe l'oeil (Fr. "to fool the eye") is a technique that artists have used for centuries. A number of Renasissance illustrations of profile bust portraits come to mind where the figures are made out of harvest produce. Don't be so quick to dismiss a keen execution of concept.
The idea is forced. Does this mean that their vegetarian cuisine taste like real meat? If that's the case then it's a good ad. If not, they just tried coming up with an interesting visual solution that has as much substance as a blank sheet of paper.
JB is right, again only eyecandy..
