i dont get it...can some one let me in on why the cup is broken
Van Gogh is known beacuse of his insanity towards the end of his life. At a famous moment he cut off his own ear.
van gough had cut his one ear. cup hadle is like ear.the ad is abt van gough musium cafe.

The coffee cup handle resembles an ear, which has been cut off, as the crazy Van Gogh did to himself.

Brilliant!!! But it was done here in Colombia 8 years ago by a guy namde Agustin Franco, for a Van Gogh Exhibition.

What makes this ad really wonderful is how it tells us it's van gogh with the single cube of sugar and the stirrer. This is how 'absinthe', the liquor van gogh was addicted to, was taken.
Oh! I didn't know that. Great find.
Question: how someone with basic knowledge about history of art can't undersand this concept.
