The Econowhat? Haha, kidding. But yeah, these ones don't quite live up to the magic. That being said, the puzzle piece was a pretty tough act to follow.

Perhaps you're toying with us dooba, but you reminded me of the best Economist ad ever.

"I don't read the economist" age 42, mail clerk.

(Ok, who now wants to correct me on the line?)

I would say that the best Economist ad is that one of a red puzzle with just one piece left blank, where the logo usually appears.

These are missing that level of thinking the older stuff had. The older stuff was much smarter more aligned with the brand. These are expected.

just out of curiousity, how many Creatives, after having seen brilliant Economist ads, have actually gone out to pick up an issue?

I did once.
Couldn't for the life of me understand it.

I know, we're not the main target audience of the economist.

But still curious if any of you guys did go and read the economist.

I did once, too.
But the thing is, it was sealed in a dark plastic and I wasn't allowed open it until I bought it.

Oh, wait, I'm thinking about something else...

I read the Economists - online, though. I understand bits of it, and more.
