Are these tomatos genetically modified?

no they are not, they are natural, and all natural tomatos have such shapes.

Just one tomato would have sufficed. This looks like a freak show.

I agree. One tomato would work, but it still would only show that the knife can cut tomatoes. That's not groundbreaking.

Now you say it, I can see you're right.

One of the more interesting looking tomatoes by itself and the line.

That would have worked nicely.

But I would need more than just a vine-ripened baboon's ass to buy into their brand message. ; ) I think they're onto something here, though.

You just created a new emotional state for me. It's name? "Vomit-happy-shame", you can guess how it goes.

I agree. One severely screwed up tomato would've been sufficient. I like the idea, however.

one tomato is not a reason to buy a knife. having things like this one happen to you over and over again is.
I do think though that they have cluttered the page with a few too many examples.

decent ad, imho. they tried to approach the product from a different angle and I do think they should get credit for that.

I think you're taking the message too literally. No one buys the knife because it's better equipped to slice irregular tomatoes.

Any ordinary knife will also do the same job.

Sure, but how else are you supposed to market a knife, really?

I'm just so glad that it's not yet anther one of those "we-can-slice-it-paper-thin" knife ads that we're so tired of seeing by now...

At least these guys have trid to come up with a different angle. And that is to be commended.

Had a conversation with a colleague about those Jinsu knife commercials from eons ago: "You can even slice through a hammer!" To which my colleague replied "Oh, for all those times you need half a hammer!"

Imperfect world?????? People themselves could b imperfect. The word imperfect is never used for Nature, dear Creative Directors..... Nature is the only thing thats perfect. The kinfe u guys are selling can not b compared to nature. I am afraid to think of a world where Nature itself is imperfect.
