Sorry, but I'm not very moved by the visual, It feels a bit corny. The logo isn't very clear on that background, and the text could be more legible.
The photo is very nice.
You're right, the red of that logo is fighting with the green of that grass.

Ace, looks fantastic, the body copy doesn't make you want to read it. Infact, does it need it? I'd say no, or at least not as much.
