I don't get it neither.
Maybe we should learn more about the culture of Emirates. :/

if this even shortlisted at cannes I'll quit
do quit right away and do the advertising world a favour
don't just waste your time, when you can't understand

It makes sense for people who know a bit about world cultures. And no - you do not have to be emirati to understand this.
funny that you post yourself - but its the same way of advertising - that we never understand - same like the islamic suicide killers
Here we go again, stereotyping religions and cultures that we are ignorant about... let's stick to the technical aspects of advertising and design shall we?
Why do they become suicide bombers? Please do not say you do not know the answer.

uh...?
black and white represent man and woman, cause in emirates man wear white, while women are in always ellegant black! plus the white is bigger, as a man should be! whan we're already stereotyping...
this is simple.. the white is better than the black... is to show that islam love americans stile of life.
Man you must have a wider knowledge, to understand. Try to know better about the place and the event than post your stupid comments.
This is just great much better than those silly things posted.
And "picktokyo" u can quit now man don't wait till it will be shortlisted in Cannes
great AD

what a waste of time
You're a waste of time. Another think headed person in the creative industry that should not be there.
the vase and the brush visuals are fine and working for me, but the camera lens itssssss toooo forced
who ever lives in the gulf will get the idea,
Part of the art is to educate the audience, so get more educated people and learn more about other cultures!
I don't live anywhere near the gulf and I got it.
Sad thing women can only be depicted as a black object, uh?
and man as a white object?!! so what?!! if you get the campaign concept you won't say so.. plus whats wrong with black! in our culture we say black is the master of all colours! unless you have some racism issues!
brilliant, I must say, but as we see here, few understands.
but if this is art, It's a masterpiece.
rubbish
these are the weirdest comments - I think some commenters are just trying to be flippant and stupid deliberately? wish someone would edit it out so we can see the decent constructive ones...like someone said, just stick to technical aspects...but maybe its better seeing how little educated or how stupidly some things are interpreted?
Did not get it... then got it... it works... not cannes... pretty lame the lenses... a bit forced.
Who are you to tell someone to quit!
Hey guys.. i think this is showing arab (emirati) culture which shows men (always white dress) women (black abhaya)... but i am not sure as m from india.
