If I'm shopping for an air bed I want comfort & convenience. There is nothing in this ad that promotes those feelings - in fact it creates the opposite: feelings of chaos & discomfort. This ad does not make me think of a good night's sleep!

this does nothing to make me want to buy a bed. in fact, it makes me think it'd be quite uncomfortable. also, considering the AD, Illustrator and photographer are all one in the same, my guess is this is fake.

i was brought in for the illustration part of it and was more of an assistant AD for the look and feel. Carter is the main AD on this.

If you boil the concept and the copy down to its essence, its promoting the "force" of air. Force is not a concept that is normally associated with comfort or bedding. I think that it all comes down to that seed of a concept. If it's flawed or mismatched, no amount of design, photography or illustration will make it an effective ad.
