but if they're thieves, shouldn't they all be involved in some sort of thievery?
more like a town of bored s and m rejects.
or perhaps they're saying we're all thieves. or maybe it's just a visual in search of an idea.
ivan, are you in love with ed? hahahaha.
It's only platonic. ;)
piracy is anonymous. the thought is nice though.
I like it.
It´s Different.
Nice idea bad copy.
I think just one good line could make a difference.
totally agree with you
I like it! And i also like the copy. It`s precise and has rithm.
Nice one.
yeah, berate your audience. that's a great way to talk to people. Because it worked so well when my mom did it when I was a teenager. I'm gonna go download something right now.
i agree. i actually thought the copy was taking the piss out of all the laws, rules, regulations and instructions we are being berated with these days. i was waiting for the copy to finish with something telling us to take 'time out' from all that shite.
This doesn't make me feel like a criminal, it makes me feel like I take part in some resistance group in a totalitarian regime were I'm not allowed to do anything. Actually I feel like a hero when I'm downloading, after having read that copy...
btw, bad copy. it sound like i am in the world of "full-with-nonsense-rules"

dont do this, dont do that, keep away from this, dont touch that...
This advertisement has an OK tought but the copy gives it a BIG parent feel. Its pointing the warning finger. When we look at ads, we dont want that finger shaken angrily at us.

...and let the poets cry themselves to sleep. And all their tearfull words would turn back into steam
Stop buying?!
Yeah I didn't get that either.
BUGGERS
Perhaps in Dubai they have a different way of getting their music. Maybe if you want to dance or kick back and listen to something you have to rent a little mini band that fits in your mp3 player and perrforms for you there...
no music industry - no piracy.
it's as simple as that...
too bad about the nice picture.
Always thought Saatchi & Saatchi
would be a good place to work.
Now I change my mind.
Moral of the story:
Never trust a company
that fired its founders.
At least not Saatchi Dubai. Thought the same thing.
This ad though is the first that gets halfway there.

Who are they to tell us not to download?
When we don't have to pay £20 to see some piece of crap in the cinema or pay £15 to listen to some pre pubescent boys sing about feelings then we'll stop downloading.......but if that never happens then we'll never stop downloading and then they'll have to put prices up to make their money and then we'll download more, and they'll hike prices then...then..oh my god! We're doomed.
I need more cow bell.
IMHO it shows the problem but it isn't convincing.
the idea is forced. the execution is even forced and irrelavant.
The hole piracy = robbery, is outdated i even remember a VHS ad for this subject.
People WONT feel that are robbing when they are downloading, the same way that the music industry doesnt ffeel the same when charging a CD 30$ and giving the artist 2$.
Wanna stop piracy? Lower your prices you greedy sob's.
Damn straight!
.........Henry. Jones. Junior!........I like Indiana....... We named the dog Indiana
This ad could have been better as a reminder for people stealing taxi rides.. heheh
Time Out is a magazine. I can understand people should read Time Out instead of stealing but somewhere there is no linkage with the subject matter. Its a very loutish ad all in all.
and by the way the photography is not a waw, it should have been much better. if they are shooting such a dramatic thrilling stealing concept.
