If I had to photo manipulate a phallus--or even try and push an idea such as this through the conceptual stage--I would quit. What confuses me is that this Digital Imaging group has some pretty nice pieces. I guess it goes to show that a nice image can only go so far if there is no idea to push it. I wonder if the people who were behind this ad and idea drive around in a car with no tires.

That is the retoucher looking at his own work. When I met him, he seemed so arrogant and into himself that I'm sure his entire body goes erect when gawks at his portfolio!
By the looks of it DDB came up with the idea and not the retoucher, and as gross as it may be it seems to be doing a pretty good job at getting attention. I have also met the retoucher and did not get that impression, if anything it's comments like this that are arrogant.
I thought it was funny, but I did it. So I guess that would make sense.
The Brief said something like this:
Make something so bad and gross that it will make everybody in AOTW mad so then we can laugh at the comments they write.
