This particular headline is struggling to make sense. The only thing a 21 gun salute has in common with 21 shootings in Chicago is the number "21". Thinking could have been a little deeper.

Kind of a weak headline. I like the art direction though. To be more constructive....I'm just saying that there's no tie between the reference to a 21-gun salute and the 21 shootings other than the number "21". The headline could have just as easily been "21 is a great card game. 21 shootings in a neighborhood is a cry for help."

Personally, I don't think the 21 gun salute is supposed to be associated with Chicago...it's just a general statement. And that's why I think this particular headline is very well written
