The Association of Environmental Protection ‘Val’: Underwater Graveyard
The Association of Environmental Protection ‘Val’ (‘val’ means wave in Croatian) aims at promoting, developing, and advancing environmental protection, especially of the marine species. This ad was created in order to increase awareness of many endangered marine species that are rapidly becoming extinct. In particular the protected pen shells which are illegally overfished for culinary reasons.

I agree. I totally got that the ad was about dying sealife, and that visual was strong enough. But then I enlarged the photo and saw that the "gravestones were actually oysters and it packed even more of a punch then.
I dream of a day when chickens will be able to cross the road without being questioned regarding their intentions.
Yes, it works!

well it is nice to see there are still some people who think so deeply about endangered species. good ad.
I think you must send this entry to 11th International concerned communicator award, a social print advertising award. there is no entrance free and u could win US $11000. you could see more details about the award on the website www.concernedcommunicatoraward.org
I think this message should be spread worldwide through this award.
