I honestly have no idea what this ad is trying to say.
However, it's definitely NOT the same meaning of the ad pork_eater linked, so calling "done" here is just lazy.
Permanent Ink ? Hendrix tattoed on the skin ?
You're right. Nothing to see.
It's not the same meaning.
The other campaign sells a pen by showing an old lady who had Hendrix sign her chest decades ago.
This shows a ripped guy with Hendrix written on his back. It's not even selling the ink's long-lasting possibilities.
It's a completely different situation, with the only similarity being hendrix's name written on a body.
Just because there's a tattoo involving Hendrix's name here doesn't make it the same ad as the other one. Next thing you know, people will be claiming that every ad featuring Che Guevara is the same as each other.
What is going on here?
I swear I had something cool to put here.
Please explain the copy. English is my first language, and I don't get it.

No.
Tattoo aren’t taboo anymore or have you been living under a rock? Long gone are the days where tattoos are exclusive to burly biker guys sporting their Harley Davidson tattoos directly across from the traditional “I love mom”! Nope now a days tattoos are worn by many different walks of life from your high brow CEO to the girl next door.
It’s no secret that sex sells, normally I’d wag my finger or shake my fist at an advertisement just exploiting sex to sell a product but I’m going to hold back with this campaign. The fact is sex sells yes and is quite often over used and abused but I’m guessing for this particular demographic this is a BIG win.
Tattoos don’t have to be spiritual, meaningful, patriotic or testosterone fueled. From what I’m gathering here you just might be feeling a little bit frisky and want to take a walk on the wild side!
Over all I’d say Rai Communications has nailed it with this campaign and “Tattoo Yes” should be very happy with the finished product.

yes, your comment sums up these ads pretty good: lots of time spent on making no point whatsoever.

A tattoo shop advertises by showing a hot guy with a tattoo. Wow. Genius.
