it made me smile. but still, im into pantone-women ;)
This is just childish. I'm guessing that whoever did this is a bloke. There might as well have been rollerblades in there as well.
Not a great idea/execution
Doin' it for the points
rollerblades????????? that must be some obscure euro joke......

is this ad oriented to female art directors?
People use those swatches when their at the hardware store buying paint for their living room. Note that those aren't pantone swatches. This is a good ad.
I don't think women want to think about blood, when you are talking about their periods.
yes, i agree to you. it's something private, and i don't feel comfortable with this ad, i don't see any benefit of this product as well.

But he won a place in the blog, congrats, we hace to remember its a student
Peppermint red? I'm a little over the whole colour swatch execution thing, seen it done way too many times before.
Fail Harder.
i don't care if he's a student. as jennywhx said, this is something private. this ad makes me feel uncomfortable. talk about turning off your target audience. if a dude is gonna come up with a tampon ad, they need to keep in mind who they're talking to - and how it's going to make us feel. this just goes to show that he is unable to relate with women. wonder if he has a girlfriend?
what is the message here? That tampax tampons won't go red? Is that possible? I'm blaming my not-knowing on ignorance, being a guy and all. The only thing that caught my eye was the 'redrum' red. That's kind of funny, but other than that, not one of my favs.
pretty sure its talking about the garment.

ha, ok, that would make more sense.
Hey. I'm one of the creatives involved with this ad. Some of the comments have gotten a little personal here. Please, let's keep it about the work (my relationships with women have generally been quite healthy, thankyouverymuch). As an aside, I realize this is a delicate subject. Many thanks to those who enjoyed the ads and posted positively, and honest apologies to those who were offended.
Kinda disgusting, though.
FER.
As a woman who gets her period 12 times a year, I have to say I'm not "sensitive" to anything about the subject. In fact, isn't it men who are all, "ewww!" about it? I like that this ad isn't about empowering women, or being embarrassed about getting your period. It's a tasteful execution for a tough client. I don't know about you girls, but I want my underwear to be Tampax Red and not so much Shiraz Red. Kudos. Solid work.
Maybe it's a student work but i am sure this ad doesn't work no matter how much ppl like it.
Sometimes harsh comments are important for improvement.
Work harder.....think harder too, cheers.
Ad worked for me. Not amazing, but I like it.
i agree with Sara. It's men who are mostly appauled by something which is totally natural. I think this ad conveys the meaning just fine and doens; make me as a woman, feel offended or disgusted by it. And to the people who didnt get it( paully_g) it's supposed to say that with the tampax on, your underwear is kept clear and having your period has no..."side-effects" on your underwear.
"there's nothing more difficult than a line"p.picasso
