It cost money, health etc. What instead of the fridge suppose you tell them it means educational expenses to 100 odd children from Rio for a year, or 10 old people can be accommodated and looked after in an old age shelter etc.etc. It would have been more piercing.

nope a smoker won't quit smoking for charity...
both the ads doesn't preach to do something they just ask a question & shows a graphical logic to it...
it says the more cigs u smoke the more money u waste.
because that's like saying, "finish all your food, don't waste any because people are dying of starvation in Africa". It's true and sad and all, but not personal enough for people to care enough to do something about it.

No non smoking campaign has ever make a smoker quit. This is a new angle and I like it, but it won´t make anyone quit. Original and nice, anyway.
