Swinburne University of Technology: Sustainability

We train our students for a world with limited resources.

Swinburne University of Technology is pioneering the role of sustainability in education. It's the first Australian institution to introduce a qualification in sustainability to students and professionals who want to up-skill to meet the needs of the new green economy. By 2015, sustainability will be part of every course at Swinburne, and all staff and facilities will be completely green.

Oh dear. Visually this says 'Come see how we waste money on gargantuan seats". Oh, and on monstrously ill-judged ads.

'Hey, look... the lecture theatre looks a bit like an open-cut mine.'

Seriously forced. And, dare I ask... junior team?

i dont think the idea is bad for an educational institution, but the retouching is less than desirable

the idea is terrible for any institution. The retouching is irrelevant.

Concept doesn't make sense. Think green, right? Are the students going to be watching bulldozers and tractors and learning how green they are? Are they building the theater out of the minerals extracted from the ground? Nothing about this ad says anything green. It's bogus. Who approved this?
