so my life is all fucked? I like the line but the layout apart of beeing fresh isn´t adding value to the product!

I agree, this looks good, but feels irrelevant to the product.

I think the product has no USP, that's way

u like the line? oh, please…

done

So, what's up with these Blue Print types of ads...

is the cheapest coloour of a pen!

Bollocks, its because it looks like a sketchbook doodle, hence it looks fresh.

I'm tired of these ads that have a decent line (sometimes) and a visual that means nothing (Playstation anyone?) I understand an art director's desire to be abstract, but c'mon. What makes this good? It's just a crazy bunch of images all slopped together. Unless I'm missing the underlying message here, there's no thought. I can hear the meeting - "Let's add a snake". "Why?" "I dunno."

Pauly you need to fill it in. I guess it's an urban jungle/playground?

I second that, I does look cool, but, like the playstation ad is irrelevant again.

Nice visual but whats the point?

Is it enough to taga brand to something cool to make your brand cool. (actually it probably is) It is just to easy to do.

Where's the big idea?!

do you think that playstation ads are irrelevant?

dear god.

its too much going on!! someone was on acid.

C'mon guys, these two ads are nice. Yeah, it's urban jungle/playground whatever as pixelbomb1 said and that's why I think it can catch the target audience.

tru tru

Who are the target audience though?

This seems to be aimed a little tooo young for people who can afford cars if you ake me.

damn i was just thinking that this morning when i was brushing my teeth!

... but i suppose they are trying to reach an audience whom are "frist time car buyers" ??

HAPPY FRIDAY msred.

i know i have no life thinking bout ads when i wake up.... *hangs head in shame*

whatcha talkin about willis? I have nightmares about ads.

They were the concept boards the art director showed to the Mac artist, shortly before the Mac artist ran from the building screaming, never to return.

Funny.. Imagine converting those to vectors?

man you guys are harsh.
these illustrations are great. the ads are very nice to look at & will really stand out amoungst the other boring beauty shot car ads out there. it's telling me that this is a fun car for those with a sense of adventure.

& what the hell is a mac artist?

pixelbomb1's picture

as suppose to pc artist. I guess, These ads are great for the targeted audiences 16-30.
I see these ads running in the Compact Car magazines.

True they will really stand out amonst the other crap gloss car ads, and I get the whole sense of adventure idea, that too is cool. But I just don't think a car buyer will remember that 'fun' element when making a serious decision to buy a car.

Incidently, a Mac artist is someone who does graphics using photoshop, illustrator, in design etc. on an apple mac.

can hear these in the meeting too "funny.. imagine converting those to vectors?"

erm...

why is there a skateboard there?

Bit like Nike 'run free'.

Seems whenever a concept is a bit more abstract, it's open to accusations of being vacant, pointless. I guess it comes down to whether you take something out of it and whether you'd rather see ads like this than, as kc_brock said, beauty shot car ads. Personally, I'd choose these.

its nice.. shows how chaotic are life is..

The artwork is great and everything, but as an ad... hmmmm.

I suppose if it's targeted at fun-loving people like ourselves, it'll sell. :)

I say it's a "SWIFT" ad by Suzuki.

It is screaming to me something, but i dont catch the punch of it...

Sorry, but i am the target and i dont understand the message. Tru, this does stand out, but it stand out like sylvester stallone in a spelling bee competition.

At the end i could say it looks good, but the idea its not motivating.
