Cannes!
Trust me.

Guest's picture

Trust ME, there is a problem with the logic. How does glue PREVENT something from breaking?

sneakyhands's picture 1871 pencils

good point. they seem to be going for the LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED angle, but the executions are leaning more towards the PREVENTION side. honestly, it just feels like award fodder -- the same formulaic "award winning" style of the past decade. do consumers really respond to ad-porn?

wildbore's picture 753 pencils

yes!

Wordnerd's picture 6575 pencils

you are so right, dude. 'like it never happened' would have been the perfect line! i think then it would even work for consumers. now it's just wrong

Wordnerd's picture 6575 pencils

Yes, that's what i meant. too bad

eldeadevis's picture 306 pencils

Agreed! this campaign is wrong. The figure WILL break first, and then the product may act.

Muy bueno! me encanta el texto.

Guest's picture

Magnifica ejecucion. Direccio de arte y retoque especatculares. La idea muy gastada. El recurso de las figurillas o adornos para superbonder, es lo que era el fuego para la salsa picante.

Guest's picture

you guys are TOO ANALIZING the add. people who's not advertisers don't do it. they try to get it, and they laugh.
the concept is to show that objects DONT have a parachute not to break. so, as long as they don't have it, when they broke they could choose the glue.

i liked it.

Guest's picture

You're so wrong it's not even funny. We analyze here so that the laymen don't have to. People who are not in advertising don't give a shit about ads. They don't care if they get it or not. They flip the page and keep looking for their article or staring at the pretty pictures. They have other things on their minds. They are not there for the ads. That is why it's imperative that ads are simple, clear, and make sense with no confusion whatsoever. The viewing public already don't give a shit so you can't afford to confuse them with convoluted messages or expecting them to work to "try to get it". They will NOT waste their time. And when that happens, opportunity missed--client's money wasted! It's much to easy for the viewing public to flip the page and reward the ads they CAN understand immediately, with their laughter and or approval.

Guest's picture

Yup, another one that thinks the "viewing public" is stupid.
Yes, they dont have time but they do have a brain, so simple clear and make sense i dont think its that imperative. If it catches their attention they WILL try and get it

Guest's picture

Don't twist my words. I never said the viewing public was stupid. There is a big difference between people being stupid and people not caring. What I said is "they don't give a shit, they don't care, and they have other things on their mind." That's a loooooong way from saying they are stupid. One has nothing to do with the other. And if you weren't so busy twisting my words you would see I was pretty clear about that. Next time, pay attention and maybe keep your comments to the ad, rather than making false accusations about the commenters.

:::J:::

Agree with you mate,
ignorance is different thing than plain dumb... he thinks they are the same...
For the parachute i think people get it VISUALLY in 0.5 seconds, but for the other two, it's really hard for dumb people (even worse if they are ignorant = don't give shat)
Vlastyr, we are here to analyze (i assume we all are into adv).. so that we can help or learn from each others opinions (and mistakes). Yes there are always some smart-ass who thinks he know everything and write blunt comment, but that guy here is giving a good constructive opinion.. ,drop that attack..

very cool guys.
Love this campaign.

eldeadevis's picture 306 pencils

This campaign is wrong. Figures will break, the product won´t stop that. It is a huge overpromise. Product may reppair them, but they will break. This is forced, and way overpromising. Or does this product prevents objects from breaking???

AXAY555's picture 578 pencils

how many girls did get after using AXE none... this is advertising
ur talking too obvious but d ad isn't...

This one is the only one that resonates with me. The others feel a bit forced. This one, i like it a lot!
Good work.

rainman's picture 263 pencils

There is another glue ad out there with images of broken objects and the glue tube is shown at the bottom resembling a rewind button. I think that was a more effective campaign than this one. I would bet that this idea came from that.

Javier Ramírez's picture 1236 pencils

Endemoniadamente bueno, felicitaciones!!!
Pero en mi opinión, es el único que funciona de toda la campaña.
Los elementos adicionales que acuden "al rescate" en los otros dos avisos, ya los hace diferentes, rompen la línea.

suerte en cannes

the_capywriter's picture 5526 pencils

My first thought... brilliant.
But then I realized the insight is wrong. The glue might fix the figurine to make it one piece again... but it won't help the figurine to come down in one piece when it falls.
I don't think I'm overanalyzing this. There's just something wrong with the way of thinking behind it. Fix that!

the_capywriter's picture 5526 pencils

... unless these ads say that the glue fixed it so well, it's like the figurines did fell and something broke there fall so it's like nothing happened to them at all.
Hmm... pretty complicated way of thinking.

they all have a point, the object must break first. The glue won´t stop it from breaking.
