This one is fun. I like it. Great photography too. May want to do something about that purple blur at the very bottom but that's it.

You have to hate advertising in order to truly love it.

After the terrible Lacoste ads, this is a ray of light.
Nice one.

"I could have killed 'em all, I could kill you. In town you're the law, out here it's me. Don't push it. Don't push it or I'll give you a war you won't believe."

funny for fashion ad

very nice...

the longer i watch it - the more i like it.
great photgraphy!

This ad is deeply offensive, crass and craven. The first image it calls to mind is the storming of the beaches in Normandy and the Pacific in WWII. My dad was one of those boys. He hit the beach in Normandy while he and the boys around him shook with fear, prayed for courage and still faced the bullets and shells that rained down on them. Those who survived the exit from these boats had to wade to the beach through the waves of blood, guts and the drowned bodies of those who went before them. To this day, that beach continues to surrender the bodies of the literally uncounted dead. It wasn't sexy, it wasn't funny and sure as hell wasn't a fucking fashion shoot. This ad is a mockery. Disgusting.

the war itself is a mockery
any war

end of joy, enjoy

I couldn't agree more. It's very offensive and disappointing.

Very interesting that it was done by a French agency. Perhaps they might have been more understanding if a Frenchman was actually there on D-Day amongst the fighting rather than just lying down and giving up.

Plus the fact that as an advert it's just not very good. I very much doubt it'll be troubling the juries. Sorry.
