This one is fun. I like it. Great photography too. May want to do something about that purple blur at the very bottom but that's it.

You have to hate advertising in order to truly love it.

After the terrible Lacoste ads, this is a ray of light.
Nice one.

This ad is deeply offensive, crass and craven. The first image it calls to mind is the storming of the beaches in Normandy and the Pacific in WWII. My dad was one of those boys. He hit the beach in Normandy while he and the boys around him shook with fear, prayed for courage and still faced the bullets and shells that rained down on them. Those who survived the exit from these boats had to wade to the beach through the waves of blood, guts and the drowned bodies of those who went before them. To this day, that beach continues to surrender the bodies of the literally uncounted dead. It wasn't sexy, it wasn't funny and sure as hell wasn't a fucking fashion shoot. This ad is a mockery. Disgusting.

I couldn't agree more. It's very offensive and disappointing.

Very interesting that it was done by a French agency. Perhaps they might have been more understanding if a Frenchman was actually there on D-Day amongst the fighting rather than just lying down and giving up.

Plus the fact that as an advert it's just not very good. I very much doubt it'll be troubling the juries. Sorry.

i think this one is genius.
there must be a brilliant mind behind that campaign..
but i think he was misunderstood somehow

jb1980, your comment is totally irrelevant to me, moreover this point of view is not yours (1980?!!) and even if it was, I could understand it but it would still be stupid. When you're not able to laugh at something, don't question it but yourself, you'd give yourself some more opportunities to change your mind, especially on History, and especially on instants you didn't live...

By the way, I like this ad, it reminds me kids playing on the beach more than soldiers dying on the beach, but I am only 29...
