Subaru: Steve Gurney, Nutter

Steve Gurney is a legendary New Zealand extreme athlete and inventor who has been supported by Subaru for many years. This ad demonstrates some of the activities and inventions he's been involved with. One item in the shot is not his. A warm glow to anyone who can spot it.

Excuse me, but what is the message for me in this ad?? It's nice that Mr. Gurney is a living legend and drives Subaru, but why should I give a damn 'bout it?

For having a blog where you talk about advertising reviews I was expecting a more smart review on this one.

Still, your skills on criticism are disappointing.

If I have to explain you the message beyond the visuals on this picture, then you have a very, very closed mind and poor knowledge on almost everything that surround you.

Which its a shame on someone like you in a place like this.

This was done before. In the mid-90's. It won a bunch of awards.

The ad stands out visually, but I won't remember it, and it's been done before!

It has been done before, not brilliant but it works. The demographic (20-50s outdoor sports guys) loves this stuff. I looked at every piece of equipment in the pic.
