Really nice work. I'd consider removing the tattoos in this one. At first glance I thought they were part of the concept, but really they just distract form the idea. You may really like your tattoos but they have no place in this ad :)

The first one seems to work better for me...but overall, good concept!

grat idea, guess it's way to expensive in the real world and I don't think you can do it on a mags page, maybe a special centerfold or the cover.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ITS' TOO EXPENSIVE, IT'S A STUDENT SO THE WORK'S NOT REALLY GOING TO RUN. AT THE LEAST, IT SHOWS THAT THIS PERSON CAN REALLY THINK AND CONCEPT. NICE. VERY NICE.

AND BY THE WAY, YOU NEVER KNOW, WITH A CLIENT AS BIG AS STATE FARM, THEY PROBABLY DO HAVE A BIG ENOUGH BUDGET FOR THIS. AND ESPECIALLY GIVEN THE FACT THAT THE AD DEMANDS THE READERS' ATTENTION DUE TO THE BOOKMARK, IT'D BE WORTH THE COST.

Grade A bro! A lil' shadow around the book would've looked better, innit?

Good concept and execution. I would agree with you 73dpi. Need a shadow on the book, otherwise it looks unreal.
