I like the strategy better than the execution.
It is a provocative and intelligent strategy, a Church wanting to talk about whether the gospels are literally true or more allegorical. As it is a CoE church, I am guessing they are of the latter opinion btw. And personally I support anything that battles Biblical Fundamentalism.
But I think such a provocative strategy is let down by what is, when it comes down to it, a cheap gag.

I think this is a scream. I love it. Christians must see the gentle humour...has it been done before? Yes. Has it been done better? Probably not.
This is for a progressive Anglican Church in New Zealand. If the church of my childhood had that edge and sense of humour, I would likely still be going.
