perfect art direction.
hittheroadjaxx.
oh man, these are nice. good on ya bbdo
These ads are hilarious! I laughed out loud...in a retarded sort of way.
And just what is "a retarded sort of way"? I don't see where it's funny at all. This is one of the last of the slurs that have GOT TO GO from the English language!
These adverts perfectly communicate how negative of a word "retard" is and that's why I've never used it. The smaller, descriptive text could be a little more legible, but the message itself is perfect.
In a strange way, these ads actually advertise these bad words.
It's sorta like how seeing a big logo reminds me of a brand.
I might go out an use some of these words now since you brought them back into fashion.
Nice.
wow, you sound really stupid.
"Stupid is as stupid does." - Forrest Retard Gump
you're also an asshole.
If these are real, I have no idea how they sold them.
I'm Jewish and I'm personally offended that "Jew him down" is clearly written,
yet Nigger, Spic & Fag are written with dashes. So basically you don't want to "fully" offend the Niggers, Spics, & Fags, but you have no problem offending Jews?
But it's nice to see that BBDO is going for broke after laying off half their agency.
I hope this campaign helps win new clients over. Especially those run by Jews.
agree. maybe all they can come up with are these ads after losing visa and pepsi to another agency. can fedex and HBO be far behind?
The madman thinks he is sane. I know I am mad. -- Pablo Picasso
boy you guys really have your finger on the pulse at BBDO.
you're talking about two different ads. the "jew him down" ad also includes an offensive term for black children.
(and you sound like somebody who got fired from bbdo. tough break)
wtf- seems to be a re---ds work.
Oh here's something new and refreshing a jew complaining about some made up shit that doesn't matter to anyone but a bunch of curly haired dandruff mongering penny pinching kikes.
that is the whole point. these ads are brilliant but i knew most people are idiots and wouldn't understand them.
Poor art direction. Why all the images blurry? It masks its sign of down syndrome.
i like the effect a lot. (and i can plainly see that they have downs syndrome)

idiot
I like these.
Why the photo is blurry? It really masks its appearance of down syndrome
stupid retards
neither clever nor appropriate
I hope you assholes making fun of down kids has one.
They're better people than you'll ever be.
They may be. But I don't look as fucked up as they are with those fucked up bulging crooked eyes. Bye!
You are an arsehole!!!
seriously. i hope you die. right now. what the fuck is wrong with you?
go fuck your mother you piece of shit
Sure, they're people too, just like everyone else.
I still wouldn't want my daugther fucking one, though.
why not? she was raised by one.
Burn!
these are brave and really really smart. beautifully done.
Very cool! It's about time someone is speaking up for this cause! I found a website too, http://r-word.org
I thiknk ths is very cool, too! Look, I also found a website http://i_look-like-a-retard_someone//help_me.net
Golly, thanks for the 12 year old's point of view.
go die you fucking loser.
my girlfriend dumped me........
arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
oh! sorry wrong site!!
nice. congratulations guys :)

Is quite a normal campaign, nothing stunning. However, nice art direction.
The immature comments on all 3 of these ads are exactly why they are successful. Although you will never get the message to the small-minded people who use it as an excuse to show how ignorant they truly are... These ads will make a difference to the people who have said this word (self included) without realizing how it may hurt real people. Kudos to the agency responsible.
Nice, nice, nice!!!!!!!!
So, what word should we use instead? Moron? Idiots? Dumbass? Ass?
People with Intellectual Disabilities.
does this make you feel better you troll?
Small mindedness will only hurt you. Why must you call those with intellectual disabilities a negative name, if they have done nothing to hurt you? Why pick on people who can't defend themselves in the same way that someone who was a "nigger" or "fag" can? Your small-minded comments represent your extreme insecurities, so take them someplace else.
agreed. i guess some people need to make themselves feel superior any way they can. this person is no doubt shooting emails from his little apartment over his parents garage.
btw - the ads are amazing.
i don't get this. i don't see a connection between the visual and the headline. and imo headline's power is derived from the offensive words.
bu ilanin götü basi oynuyor lan.
These ads are pedestrian. As for comments here, there's a difference between caring for the cause and caring for these ads. It's a good cause. I still could care less what words I use after reading these.
Yes, the photos are different. They just seem to be missing it. They just seem a little creepy. I wouldn't resort to bad warm & fuzzy stock, but there are better options.
"sigh"
que sera sera
this one is good.
nice motive behind the ad.
good copy :)

These ads communicate loudly and clearly the problem with associated with the R-word and negative and dehumanizing speech like Barack Obama's. I think the pictures speak perfectly to the notion that when we let the r-word be okay, we also let people with disabilites and their important contributions fade out of society
speaking of barack, go to cnn.com to read a story about this campaign
