South African Airways: Bafana Bafana

Proud official carrier of Bafana Bafana.

If you've seen the streets in South Africa during the 2010 soccer world cup you'd have noticed that almost every second vehicle on the road has a small South African flag clipped onto a window in support of the host country's national soccer team (Bafana Bafana). This colourful phenomenon has become a defining characteristic of the 2010 world cup next to the Vuvuzella. This ad ran to show that as the South Africa's national soccer team's official carrier, South African Airways' support extends beyond just getting Bafana Bafana to the games.

cheap idea (so generic for every airline) - the pilot should blow a vuvuzela

one should not take life so seriously - as one will not come out of it alive.

The pilot should, should, should.... better to keep it this way, simply nice and clean.

Simple ideas are the best !

Agreed. It's an oportunity ad, local, but totally conected to the target. Nice, clean and well executed.

For those of you who don't know - the little flag sticking out from behind the pilot are for sale practically on every street corner for people to stick onto their cars. They have a little plastic doo dad which allows one to slip it in between the rear window and the door without damaging the vehicle itself. All the cars practically have one in support for their team of choice. Each country is represented.
