(But I've seen this concept of the tube map for other things (ie: constellations, actors etc)before
So it's not new, but then again, what in advertising is?

Hold your horses gentlemen. I can clearly see their 'inspiration' but they gave it a twist. That's what happens so very often in advertising (and in art too btw). You combine two existing ideas and form a new one, nothing wrong with that.
