wow... nice creative thought

Fish be with you.
I'm starting to get sick & tired of this 'looks real' or 'just like real' or 'it's like you're there' concepts for LCD.
this is another one. nothing new, nothing special, nothing memorable...
I don't care if it's the same message as long as they show me the message in a fresh and interesting way. How many benefits can one product have? The key feature of a flat screen HDTV is that the picture is spectacular. I didn't give a shit about anything else besides the picture quality when I was shopping for my flat screen.
fair enough. I was just stating my opinion.
He wasnt refering to the benefit itself (which is related exclusively to the product) but to the concept.
They are just saying "REAL LIFE PICTURE QUALITY" but failing to keep working on what happens with that benefit to take the concept further. Conceptually, its shallow, thats all. We know that with a HD TV the idea has to comunicate a great resolution and wide color range, but writing "great resolution and wide color range" shouldnt be enough.
The creative idea itself is correct but not impressive (which is the whole point with this visual sintesys of ads).
This should have been his response but I like the points your bring up. I agree that the message is quite shallow. However, I was mainly refuting the original poster's comment on how this piece is "nothing new, nothing special, nothing memorable...". I think a simple, although shallow, message that gets the point across in a fresh and interesting way can be new, special, and memorable. I'm not saying any of us are in the right or wrong, just different strokes for different folks I suppose.
You're nothing but hot wind.
and you're nothing but zatelebana koklja ;-)
Miserable childhood can't be cured.
and you seem to be the shining example.
insulting people for being nice.
Nice! I like the concept but the line could use a bit of work.
Great work inspite of hot wind and sourgraping creeps with uti problems.
Love it.
V Nice, it's a small point, but I'd have cloned out every other joining line in the wood so it didn't cut through the copy.
Congratulations
Boring. In agencies there is a strategic planing. Can they help to say something more interesting that this is flat, real etc...?
Colors like no others. THIS is a concept.
Just like reality, not any more.

One day there will be a marvelous signature here. For the moment there is this.
respect!
i like the contrast of the wall being in the 70's style.
In my opinion this ad is completely ridiculous.
What if the someone was actually feeding the fish and they were interacting with the real world. Then say something like "Experience it."
pretty much this exact ad was done years ago. except it was a tv sitting next to an aquarium.
there's no need for copy.
No need to put it here.
But WTF are they watching? The Aquarium Discovery Channel?
Zzzzzzzzzz
There was some other LCT TV ad with fish. I agree it is getting a tad tiresome.
~~be cool eh!~~
Colours as a concept too has been used.
~~be cool eh!~~
a bit fake
Simple and effective.
DONE BY SAMSUNG, i saw it in the Samsung TOTAL COMMUNICATION DESIGN GUIDELINE 2005.

Ok. I actually art directed this ad 5 or 6 years ago. It's old. It really ain't that good. I'm not sure it was every brilliant but it is now certainly showing its age. I agree with most of the positive AND negative comments above.
