Although i think this is an older ad (correct me if i'm wrong) I kinda feel the woman looking like a man has been done to death.
Yeeesh yesh critics will say it's for a different thought, but it still looks like those gillette ads that were done with woman looking like men
and the other half a dozen ads just like it.

yeah i have seen these exact images in archive before...different prodcut tho i think..

I don't know how to break this to the creative team involved. An identical idea done in France was up on the same site a few days ago. Page two or three. Sad.

Yeah, but the french ads aren't being shown in Australia. Just because someone somewhere in the world did a similar ad, does that mean that it can't be done elsewhere?
I'm sure the ad team didn't research every country (or even this website) to make sure the idea hadn't been used.
That said, it's probably been done dozens of times before. It's the simplest idea which shows the negative side of steriods in a fashion which might shock people to think twice.
I'm not saying the ad above is great, but it could work. And probably better than the french ads which were overdone to the point of being ridiculous.

maybe you didnt understand me....the exact images were used.

:) No, I understood you Ash. I was responding to niranjankaushik's comment about the french ads.
The same images? That would be embarassing.

ahhhh..my mistake, i thought that was under mine. sorry.

yeah i cant be sure if it was a different product but im 99% sure it was...ill have try and remember to check it when i get home.

These ads for skins were done about 3 years ago.

i threw up in my mouth for a second day in a row.

just for what it's worth, these ads ran a couple of years ago in australia, as far as i can recall. i don't mean the creatives knicked the ads, i'm saying they did them some time ago, if i remember correctly.

Yep they were done ages ago. At least two years, maybe even three.

Who cares when they were done. It doesn't make it any better.

One (good) execution would do the trick and convey a strong enough message, without the embarassment of various bad ads that take the focus out of whatever product it intends to sell.
