nice:)
just a few thoughts:
1. i think you don't need to mention "permanent"
2. also, will look nicer if you crop it tighter (lose the pen cap and stapler)

I don't think a crop is necessary (it's personal preference). But i totally agree that strategically you can boil your message down even more by ditching the "permanent".

wrong client. this ad is about a cop being stupid, not a marker.
the art direction is weak, too. crop it tighter, see how much information you can take away without the message being lost.

agreed, who the hell has time to waste deciding to la-dee-da draw out a fingerprint? besides i'm not getting 'permanent' as much as 'fine tipped' (for details)

... its already been done...

"who the hell has time to waste deciding to la-dee-da draw out a fingerprint?"

Are you seriously asking that question?

On one hand, it's a bit funny (stupid cop, for sure!). On the other hand, I'm not sure it's such a brilliant demo.

Smart. but your message is not permanant your message speaks more to the fact thats its and exacting fine tip

Done good. Maybe 'permanent' coz they stash fingerprints for future ref... but wait, they're all scanned in nowadays?
And yeah, Kris, right on: if he and the 'cop being stupid' guy are seriously asking anything, we've got trouble!

They should partner up with another company by showing the same scene in a different angle and, there you go! You can also advertise lenses or glasses! :)

To me this doesn't communicate the idea of a 'stupid cop'. It shows me how much you would like to write with such a precise pen... actually enjoying to spend more time than with a simple stamp... and off course the result will be even better ;)

It's funny at first glance but he's drawing the wrong finger on that space on the card. The thumb goes on the very left. Also, those are the rolled prints in the blocks so the prints should be wider than a normal print, the prints he's drawing are plain impressions which go on the bottom of the card.
