even if you read the copy and even if you do agree that this being a tough competition is your ground to build an idea on, the connection to cars is rather obscure and far-off making the idea weak...

I love this. A perfect idea for this audience. Not too bold, not too stuffy. Simple and beautiful photography. Simple, clear copy. I think it's great.

I never write on these things cos I'm too busy but these comments are so way off the mark, I had to dig out my login and write. It's fecken obvious that most of the comments have been made from the creatives / friends or creative directors from the agency, which pisses me off. Why do I say this. It's because most people get stuck in and pan a half decent ad with good thinking... so , why am I being so harsh. Well. Look at the ad. It's shot nicely but 1/. It's a really bad visual collision. 2/. The line doesn't work in any way with the visual because it's loaded. This was a great brief and you've screwed it completely, so take my advice, fire two of the three creative directors in your piece of shit agency and start to read and see more great ads rather than trying to Pr / write / cover up your mess.
