Why would one bother to post an ad that ran so long ago?

Because it's so damn brilliant! That's why.

Origional: wrapping the produce.
Supurb: crafting of photography.
Clever: incorporating the copy on a torn section of packing tape.
Joking: who me?

7 0n the Poo scale.

Not sure if Bill's being sarcastic ( 7 on a poo scale seems like it would be poo-ey - unless it's 7/100 ) ;-)

Regardless - very nice ad. Cute without overdoing it. Simple. To the point. Well crafted. 8.5/10 on my scale.

Nice idea, nice AD. Just wish you switched up the visual joke. After the first one there is no surprise, falls a bit flat.

Falls a bit flat if you see the three of them side by side in an advertising website. In the real world a person might only see one of them. And if this person happens to see more than one, probably the time interval will be big. Which in this case is good that they look alike because the person remembers that they belong to the same campaign. Just my opinion on a very usual comment on this website.

Right. Let me call Goodby and tell them they only needed to do one execution of the "Got Milk" campaign. They really wasted their time coming up with so many different and interesting concepts.
Just my opinion, but maybe the comment is so usual because it is a valid one.

I might be wrong, but I've seen lots of people with milk mustaches for "Got Milk" for many years. Then "new campaigns" appeard (like the broken bones, which has three executions with a different person with a broken bone in each ad) under the same big concept.

Oh...and I don't think the Sea Food Market will be moving again pretty soon. That said, they might not need a long campaign as "Got Milk". So I think a small, quick and simple campaign like this one works pretty well, don't you (CC3)?

Perhaps they should have just done one ad instead of trying to force fit two similar executions to make a campaign?

I should have clarified RE: Got Milk campaign. I was refering to the original stuff pre milk mustaches, plate of cookie with bite taken out, glass of water with chocolate syurp, Arron Burr TV spot, etc.

It is a great idea, however, I would have pushed them to dig deeper. The idea has legs that what makes it so dissapointing to see the same execution regurgitated three times. Fair enough?

Hey, I would have tried different executions myself.

Nice, but i would have liked to see more boxed-up items laying around the seafood. Seeing a solitary wrapped item doesn't invoke thoughts of moving for me.
