No, thank you.

I think most folks don't welcome tourism to begin with.

WTF? And the dead woman lying at the feet of the 'hunters'? Is she supposed to be their 'kill'? No, this doesn't do it for me, really. And if you're really trying to go hunt tigers, you're not about to be swayed by a simple 3-ad print campaign.

She's a dead tourist, Inky... killed by the hunters.
I agree with you, though.
It's a very clunky campaign... especially targeting no-bullshit, hard ass hunters...
and tell them to actually stop hunting.

I don't think this ad is targeted to the hunters at all. This ad ran in India. The hunters (mostly) come from elsewhere.
The ad is actually targeting the small industry which supports the hunters when they come to India. This small industry relies on hunters and tourists, and by supporting the hunters they are actually endangering their future livelihood which more and more will be based on tourist dollars.
In my opinion these ads work well.

So, India's tourism is mostly wildlife (tiger) watching??? For me, wildlife watching is only a very small part of their tourism industry. It might be a good cut-through point for SANCTUARY. Not working well as it's not an effective angle.

Noone said that India's tourism is mostly tiger watching. Same as Ferrari's aren't what most people here drive but they're still advertised.
Working well because it's helping at the point where it's targeted.

Erm.. how did you surmise that the tourist is female?

It reminds me a bit on the old days, where Europeans killed natives for fun.
Brrr! Bad ad!

The idea of using those old hunting trophies could have been used to great effect because they are instantly recognisable and (to me anyway) a bit disgusting, but they really don't work here.
