Thats great. I take that as a great ad for being a copywriter personally!

i feel really thick, i dont get it. I mean i know what is for but dont get the visual.
how come its typed out and there is a ballpoint pen? this is the first time on AOTW that i dont get an ad.
Sorry Lowe.

The pen is irrelevant. It's all about the copy. The ad simply tells you that great directors can make a great commercial from any lame idea.

maybe the pen's not irrelevant. a great director who sees a great script should have the decency not to alter it.

or maybe i'm just reading too deep.

Or maybe it's the first meeting with the director... the agency gave him the script and he has his pen on the table. C'mon guys, good directors don't "change" the script, but they sure make it better... it's their job!!!!
Anyway I think it's a gr8 campaign.

I think sometimes in this site we are too critical and we analyze the ads waaaay too much... and the consumer don't. Period.

There is a good idea in here, but the art direction should be revised. The typewriter thing just doesn't work.

It's an icon, the typewriter font for scripts... I think it's iconic, like a symbol, and it is on people's minds. By the way the movie scripts are still written with this font.

i get this one..

but there is nothing else than just saying a message in a diferen way.

and for god sake, it's for art directors... make it "artsy"

balls was a killer idea first. Then, it was well directed.
It's because it was a big idea that a famous director accepted to do it.

I really don't like this campaign.

In fact it was a killer segment on the Letterman show first. Then a killer ad idea. Then a killer ad.

Great ads start can begin with a simple script. It is the core idea that counts. Fluxx directors :P
