bad execution of a good concept.

the guy doesnt look sad. he looks successful.
he just has a toy - sexual abuse doesnt make it so you carry your toy (i get it's not to be taken literally) but it couldve been a comforting teddy bear and the guy couldve looked ...not successful

The example shown within the link is gripping; great concept. The toy could be significant because it could have been the one he was playing with moments before the abuse happened( thus, 'stuck in that moment forever'); it could simply mean stuck in that abused childish state of mind. Also, I don't see why he can't/shouldn't 'look' successful. After all, people of all statuses can/do suffer from abuse, and I'm sure many people who have been abused have used over indulgence as a way to busy their minds and block certain memories.
