The problem with this ad is also something I see in a lot of ideas by young - and not so young - creatives. Mostly art directors.
You're muddling the need and the benefit.
You're showing an insect. That's the need for the product. You're showing soldiers. That's the product benefit - "secure the perimeter".
What you can't do is combine them both into one visual.
