and do we have to use sex to sell shoes in three ads

The man who stops advertising to save money is like the man who stops the clock to save time

Dude, really? Sex is used to sell everything these days, why should this advertisement be any different?

With a name like Red Tape perhaps ideas based on bureaucracy would be interesting.

Such as?...

No. I didn't think so.
You really HAVE TO understand who these ads are tartgeted at. I get the sense the angle of "government bureaucracy" probably won't appeal to a pubescent teen market interested only in a fashion statement.
Let's really THINK before we offer our $.02, shall we?

Kris's picture 1486 pencils

"a pubescent teen market interested only in a fashion statement" You sound like an old fart who thinks he knows what teens are all about, which I doubt you do. Let's think before being predictable.

Besides that, this ad is crap.

Jet Propulsion Lab's picture 10602 pencils

You got me there. No, I don't claim to know what teens are "all about", but I can assume or even predict what their mindset is like having been one myself and seeing them all over the city every single day. I was questioning the relevance of government "bureaucracy" in terms of marketing these shoes to them. And my prediction is that it won't fly. Period.

Besides that, this ad IS crap.

...and so are the shoes.

oohgly shoes... brushscript for logo, all right!

Is there any idea in this ad? The redtape logo is so amateuristic.

that building on the left, just below the empire state? that's the publicis new york city office at herald square.

which is the only interesting thing about this otherwise completely pointless and disappointing ad.
