It's wrong analogy. It should be a needle armoured clothes, etc...something that the baby wears. What has a sharp, hard edge play horse got to do with Fabric Softener?
How can a fabric softener PROTECTS the sensitive baby skin? It's not a skincare lotion, etc...very misleading visual.

I guess she wants to say that clothing (being the baby's constant item in contact with their skin) makes them judge other things as well..
