huh?
I so get it! All these are things anyone over 25 will recognise. We all played with them as kids and they always bring back a smile for 'the good old days'. It also means the colored pencils have been around for that long. Nice concept. Made me really smile.
Nostalgia made sense with icons of the past (cassettes for instance) and the product (the tagline refers that the brand of pencils have been there for a long time.) Not everyone recognises how clever this ad is.
