No more desaturated/cloudy sky ads please!!

Funny idea. Not the same as the bubble-gum one.

keep smilling

i love it, the dark clouds are necessary to let the flame pop from the page, so you get it faster.

Jumo's picture

Not so necessary.
All i see is a sad and dull ad.
But good idea !!

yeah, great visual. like it.

funny. not exactly the same as Hubba Bubba, but does look quite similar...

jazarah's picture

I laughed out LOUD on this one!
Love it.
And to echo a few others above me, this is NOT the same as the bubble gum ad. Similar execution, sure. But totally different concept. And I have no problem with it whatsoever.
But more than anything else, I love this one because it's not yet another "tongue" ad! And of course, it has a LOGO on the page!!!

hmmmmm....

a: 'look, this gum makes so big bubbles I can fly away'
b: 'look, this pringles are so hot I can fuel the baloon and fly away'

c'mon, clearly a rip-off. changing a product doesn't make a different concept.

"...changing a product doesn't make a different concept"???

You sound like someone who indulges in creativity as a way of entertaining yourself. A hobby!
You're simply comparing the end results (execution) of two creative concepts originated from completely different places (briefs) with different messages. I believe this is a legitimate work done by a group of professionals at a legitimate ad agency. Not as a hobby. These guys didn't simply switch products just to entertain themselves...
It just amazes me that you seriously think that these guys simply "changed the product" so they can do an ad that shows a person flying away in a bubble gum fashion.
Again, the two ads do resemble each other in the end, but they each solve a problem from a different perspective derived from two completely different selling propositions.
I DO have a problem when two ads look almost exactly the same (sometimes with equally identical headlines) that are basically selling the same product, service or message. But to you, it's ALL about how the ads look in the end no matter what. And that's just crazy talk!

LeeHarvey's picture

Damn you're good!

hmmmm.... nope. still no relevant argument there.

in my mind it remains a rip-off.

LeeHarvey's picture

Well, then your mind is narrow...

No relevant argument???
Do you even know the meaning of the word "relevant?" Which part of my comment was so disconnected from the subject at hand? Can you at least pry open that mind of yours and share what's inside with the rest of the world? Although, I have a feeling that you are not capable of carrying on an intelligent discussion with anybody else.

Prove me wrong.

You talk about two different concepts – none mentioned in your post.
You talk about different perspectives – none mentioned in your post.
You talk about different messages – none mentioned in your post.
You talk about different problem solving – none mentioned in your post.

If you can't even deduce what I was getting at, you're in a much more serious trouble than you realize. Aren't all those points so OBVIOUS in my comment? Do you really need to be spoon-fed EVERY SINGLE POINT of people's argument? You seriously don't understand what those two different concepts I was referring to?

Now I KNOW why you can't have a straight debate with anybody.
You don't even know HOW to present your own case, other than to say "it's a ripoff!!!"

You tire me.

yes, I need to be spoon-fed.
yes, I'm in much more serious trouble than I realize.
yes, I can't deduce.

now lets hear it from you. arguments?

so far all I got from you are insults and spitting.

Okay, I'll give you one final chance to redeem yourself.
I'll give you the beginning of a sentence and you can fill in the rest for us. "It remains a rip-off in my mind because..." Now, go. (Of course I'm referring to YOUR second comment in response to mine, in case you forgot.)

This is your chance to make your own intelligent case. I've already made mine.

I'm all ears.

coool

nice one...............

Um, this is exactly the same ad as the bubblicious ad.

I get that one is making the balloon and one is making the balloon hot, but that's the ONLY difference. The concept and execution is pretty much exactly the same.

Explain to me, with a straight face, how it's different.

They should at least give menno a slash.

i will done before..

Ashish, I think everyone gets your point, and yes,the work is amazingly similar.
