Finally, new print ad for PS. You can tell they've toned it down. Love the hues.

Shame, PS made so many awesome ads. This is ok visually, but not a freak concept as they used to have (and for which I love them).

I think they are slowly moving away from all the freaky stuff. It's true that in the past their campaigns were downright bizarre.

So they basically turned a screen capture from a game (not really, just sayin') into an ad by slapping a logo on it? What's the bid idea or concept?

This is absolutely no screen capture.

You miss the point. It could very well be just a screen capture from a cinematic cut-scene from any number of games. What does this ad say? What is the message behind it? Is there a concept? Is there a big idea? Is there anything creative at all? I could take a screen capture from the opening movie of a game like Gears of War or Resident Evil and throw a logo on it. Would that make it a good ad?

Hell to the No.

Yes, I see the X Button. Still a lame idea. Here, I just made this in like 5 minutes. Same exact thing. Nothing creative about it: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/image.php?021dda8e05.jpg

To be able to understand this ad, you need to be familiar with the history of PlayStation advertising. You are right there's no big idea behind this image. Heck, there isn't even a sales message! But that's PlayStation's unique communication approach. I was just commenting on the image itself. I still find it beautiful. No offense, but what you have created is not better. I'm sorry.

I didn't make it to be better. I made it show that there's nothing grand going on. I spent all of 5 minutes pasting in the logo and buttons. And I'll be the first to admit that it's a crappy job. But, that's what I'm trying to point out in the first place. :)

I don't agree. They always had an idea. This one is a crap. Why it is here?

Also, I don't really believe they're still making ads for PS2 in 2010.

This was done for Ecuador, so maybe PS2 is still popular there or is the only console being sold.
