yes, i saw that. i just don't think it's a very strong idea to simply say you support naked protesters when you're playboy. but it is entertaining at least for obvious reasons.

I think its less about the women and more about the activism. Playboy Magazine has been branding itself as a lifestyle magazine and approaching more activist causes. Its models do actually participate in a lot of these causes and the magazine itself is aligned with groups like PETA.
I think they did a good job promoting both aspects of the magazine. You don't find cause-based articles in Maxim like you do in Playboy.
Yes, because Maxim isn't as sophisticated as Playboy tends to be. Its content is trash (well, except for the girls), while Playboy aims a lil' bit higher.
