Depends on where it is advertisied. Students often live in crummy apartments; they'll all know who Papa Roach are don't they. If it's aimed at them then they'll all know and may well need cockroach spray.

Do you really think their target are students? I doubt that. It's just too forced to use any band with a bug in its name in this connection. I'm really curious how many of their target audience have ever heard of Adam Ant or Papa Roach...
I don't know who their target market is, or where they intended to show the advert, I was looking for ways to justify their thinking because I liked the idea.
Whoever their target audience is, I agree the campaign is flawed.
Perhaps Adam Ant, The Beatles and Papa Roach were intended to target a different audience each?

It seems a bit of a roundabout way to tell a story that doesn't really go anywhere. Whet is the differentiation and why should I buy this over any onther inscet killer? Trying too hard.
I think the ad is interesting, attention-grabbing, funny and clever. Good copy. Someone with a li'l bit of general knowledge, can know about Papa Roach. So 'target group not being addressed' is not a big deal.
